SPEX UPC does not contain frame images, but frame images can be found in our online database which is available for subscribers to SPEX UPC.

Frames Data works with each manufacturer individually to provide updated frame information. However, it is up to the discretion of the manufacturer to list their products and to send us new frames. If you have received new frames from a manufacturer that are not in SPEX UPC, please inform your representative from that manufacturer. If there is a manufacturer that is not in SPEX UPC, let us know by sending an email to lseepaul@jobson.com. We will contact them to let them know that their customers are requesting that they list with us.

If you are using the FRAMES Data Quarterly CD-Rom in conjunction with a practice management software, please contact your software provider for instruction. If you are using the FRAMES Data Quarterly CD Rom on its own, please follow these instructions:

• Click the “My Computer” icon on your desktop (if you do not have the icon, press and hold the flying windows icon on the lower left-hand corner of your keyboard, and type in the letters “b-r-e”. Once typed in, the “My Computer” window will appear).
• On your “My Computer” window, locate the icon that is named “FRAMES CD”. Right-click on the icon, and select “Open”.
• At the “FRAMES CD” window, find the icon named “SETUP” or “SETUP.EXE”. It is usually represented by a small computer logo on the icon. Double click on the icon.
• Then follow the Frames Data CD Setup instructions for installation.
• After the installation is successful, an icon on the desktop named “Frames Data CD-ROM” will appear. Double click on the icon.

The CD-Rom is not mac compatible.

If you are using the current issue of the Quarterly CD-Rom, you may need to update your installation. To do this, follow the installation instructions you used to initially install the CD (see above). The installation program will ask whether you want to "Update" or "Remove," select "Update." Complete the installation and try running the program again.

Yes, most frames include a full color photo.

Currently the frames are displayed in one color, but all available colors are listed.

Yes, You can add frames into the frame board management feature.

We recommend using your Practice Management software as your primary vehicle for inventory management.

Listings are dependent on the manufacturer.

Frame listings on FRAMES Data Online include frame name, manufacturer name, sizes, colors available and in most cases full color photos. It includes active frame listings only; discontinued frames are not displayed in the online database, though we do provide a list of discontinued frames and the last issue of FRAMES Data Quarterly that they appeared in.

Basic access to FRAMES Data Online is included free of charge with any FRAMES Data Quarterly (print or CD Rom) or SPEX UPC subscription. To activate your online account, click here. You will need your account number and zip code the first time you register, which can be found on your Frames Data subscription label. You may also call customer service at (800)-739-7555 to obtain your account number.
