What is PriceSearch?
PriceSearch is an online wholesale price lookup tool available to current Frames Data subscribers with a registered account. Easily find pricing for frames searching by style name, collection name, UPC code, or recent price change.

Why is PriceSearch useful?
Find wholesale pricing for managed care claim forms, or to help you calculate your retail prices.

Who has access to PriceSearch?
PriceSearch is available to ECPs with paid subscriptions to Frames Data SPEX, Quarterly DVD or Quarterly Print. Once you have subscribed with one of these products, you must register on framesdata.com for online access.

How do I access PriceSearch?
After logging into your account on framesdata.com, click on the tab to the far right of the page labeled “PriceSearch”. You will then be prompted to enter your log in information again.

Why do I have to log into PriceSearch each time I navigate away from the page?
Frames Data wants to ensure that wholesale pricing is displayed only to ECPs and their staff members. Having to log in each time is a way to be sure that wholesale pricing is never improperly displayed.

I don’t understand the Recent Price Change lookup. What is it?
The Recent Price Change lookup is an easy way to find frames that have changed pricing in the past 90 days. Simply enter a brand name and a date within the past 90 days to see what frames have pricing that has changed since then. PriceSearch is limited to changes within the past 90 days to avoid lengthy search results.

Why do I sometimes get no results on the Recent Price Change lookup?
If your search returns no results, it is because there haven’t been any changes in the time period specified. Try a longer time period – if there are still no results, nothing has changed within 90 days.

Why can’t I see pricing for discontinued frames?
Frames Data does not publish pricing for frames once the frame is discontinued.

Is there a way to print search results?
Yes! After the search results populate, click on the “Printer Friendly” button located at the top right of the results grid. Once the new window appears, click the “Print” button located at the top right of the page.

What do the letters in the “Status” column in the search results mean?
Status: A – Active Styles | D – Discontinued Styles | N – Style not found for this UPC There is a legend at the bottom of the search results page that also explains what each of these letters mean.

Why are some of the search results in red while the others are black?
The discontinued styles are red, while the active styles are black. If you do not wish to see discontinued frames in your search results, uncheck the box located at the top left of the page labeled “Include Discontinued Frames”.

What is FrameSearch?
FrameSearch is the frame search engine you can use to easily find accurate information on the latest frames. You can search by Style, Brand, Collection, Manufacturer, or UPC Code. If you’d rather browse through all the frames in the database, you can narrow your search using the filters.

How do I use FrameSearch with my patient?
If you have a patient looking for a frame in a particular style, you can specify the search parameters using the filters on the left-hand side of the screen to narrow down the search results.

Why are there no images for the frames I’m looking at?
On occasion, some frames will not have an image because we did not receive a sample from the manufacturer to photograph. Rest assured, we do our best to work with the manufacturers to complete their listing.
